Blue Ridge RC&D Council Information

Members

The Blue Ridge RC&D Council consists of three representatives from each of the seven counties in the area and one from the Region D Council of Governments. The Council will serve as a clearing house for proposed projects for the Board of Directors.

Each member shall be a resident of the county which he or she represents on the Council. One member shall be nominated by the Soil and Water Conservation Board and one by the County Commissioners from each county, with the third county member nominated by the other two members from that county.

Persons interested in the purpose of the Council may become Associate Members by application and upon approval of the Board of Directors. Associate Members may join as individuals or may represent a municipality, a county government, a Soil and Water Conservation District Board or a business.
